Gold Coast Anthology: Undertow launched today!

Congratulations to two of our Scifantorites, Janis and Rebecca on the launch of the Gold Coast Anthology: ‘Undertow – Tales From Outside the Flags’.  I can’t wait to read your stories.

The project was conceptualised and coordinated by Janis a founding member of the Prana writers.

Using 100 photos from the Gold Coast Local Studies Library the Gold Coast Anthology is a collection of 20 fictional stories inspired by photos from the City of Gold Coast’s Local Studies library.  Stories were by open submission.  The project was funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund.

Today the launch was kicked off with a Panel Discussion ‘Fiction meets history’ at the Local Studies Library Southport. Janis chaired the panel with some of the other contributing authors, Tom Betts, Paul Garrety and S. Elliot Brandis including Kyla Stephan from the Gold Coast Local Studies Library.

Then the book was launched at Southport Community Centre with Rob Molhoek, the member for Southport opening the proceedings.
