Word for this meeting…
Where does the word ‘comic’ come from?
The word ‘comic’ comes from the Latin cōmicus, from Greek kōmikos relating to comedy.
What have the Scifantorites been up to…
Brad, it was good to see you again after your adventurous trip last month.
Brett and David have moved. It was a very weary David we saw at our last meeting. Hopefully everything has settled down now and all is good for you both. And we wish that the ghost of Jerryl Dean stays well and truly in the past.
Cherie brought in a couple of chapters of 2 of her current works for Adriana to read.
Kim has finished the first draft of chapter one of her comic book. Kim has some very interesting insights into the differences between writing a novel and writing a comic / script. Kim is looking at San Francisco Comic-Con in Sept 2016.
What have the Scifantorites been watching, reading…
Deadpool was loved by those of us that had already seen it. There was much encouragement given to the others who had not seen it to go and enjoy.
Housebound (2014) a NZ horror comedy was called an excellent movie by Brad.
Wall-e (2008) is another must see movie. Meeting could not believe that Adriana had not seen it.
The series Agent Carter is to be cancelled.
Don’t bother with DC Legends of Tomorrow.
